El SOUNDTRACK DE LA PELÍCULA DE NUESTRAS VIDAS, COBAIN: MONTAGE OF HECK

Considerando que hace dos días fue el aniversario luctuoso de Kurt Cobain, el Soundtrack de la Película de Nuestras Vidas de este semana, es el documental del 2015, de la productora Universal Pictures, Cobain: Montage Of HecK

El documental está dirigido por Brett Morgen que comenzó a trabajarlo desde el 2007, a petición de Courtney Love, viuda de Cobain, que le solicitó realizar el documental. Se trata del primer trabajo de este tipo sobre Kurt Cobain hecho con la cooperación de su familia. Morgen y su equipo tuvieron acceso a los archivos personales de Cobain y familiares. El documental incluye imágenes de varios espectáculos de Nirvana y canciones desconocidas, así como películas caseras, registros, obras de arte, fotografía, revistas, demos y songbooks. Morgen utilizó las entrevistas en la película Lenny como modelo para las entrevistas en la película.

Estilísticamente, Montage of Heck toma la forma de un collage caótico, es una pieza audiovisual que lo mismo mezcla entrevistas contemporáneas, con pietaje de cintas familiares, pláticas viejas con Cobain y dibujos animados que él mismo hizo de pequeño.

Por ese lado, el acceso que tuvo Morgen a la vida personal del músico es espectacular. Sin duda, pocas veces hemos podido entrar a la vida personal de figuras de este tamaño. Aún así, el documental hace bien en alejarse del morbo y escoge presentarnos una disección de la mente artística. Desde su tumultuosa niñez, a los eventos que finalmente lo llevarían a crear Nirvana, la cinta no le teme a adentrarse en los rincones más oscuros de su psique, pero tiene el tacto de manejarlos con criterio y madurez.

En lo que respecta al Soundtrack, es por por demás decirlo, puedes escuchar lo más trascendental, hasta lo ḿas popular.
